Security beefed up

HUBLI: In the wake of serial bomb blasts in Delhi, Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissionarate has beefed up security in the twin cities.
In a press release Narayan Nadumani, Police Commissioner, Hubli-Dharwad the police had left no stone unturned in stepping up the security.
As people of twin cities were busy in festive shopping, red alert has been sounded in all markets, shopping mals, multi-storeyed buildings, bus and railway stations and areas that are considered to be sensitive.
In view of Deepavali and Ramzan festivals, police personnel have been patrolling in and around the cities. To ensure safety, police are inspecting the vehicles entering the city and commuters carrying the suspicious luggage. Police personnel were directed to keep a strict vigil on the movements of certain organisations.
