HDUDA to serve final notices shortly: DC

DHARWAD: M S Srikar, Deputy Commissioner, has warned of serving final notice to people, who have not cleared their dues after purchasing plots in Sattur and Rayanal layouts of Hubli-Dharwad Urban Development Authority (HDUDA).
Speaking to media persons here, he said that more than 350 people had so for not cleared their interests and principal amount to be borne by them for purchasing plots.
The last and final notice will be served shortly, failing to clear the dues, their registration will be cancelled, he said.
He said that beneficiaries who had registered their names for 183 plots being developed in Sattur, need to owe Rs 2.13 crore to the authority, whereas a total of Rs 85 lakh for the plots developed in Rayanal.
He said that HDUDA will take stringent measures to recover dues from the beneficiaries and same will be utilised for the development of other layouts. Steps will also be taken to ensure transparency in this matter, he added.
A scholarship of Rs 5,000 will be given to selected five Hidustani classical music students every month through the Mallikarjun Mansur Trust.
With view to enlighten the use of computers among rural students, a computer literacy programme will be organised in the district from October 26 to 29, he said.
