DHARWAD: ‘Jala Vichara Vedike,’ a forum on water conservation, organised a jatha in co-ordination with NSS wing of Karnatak University, Vignana Mantapa of Karnataka Vidyavardhaka Sangh and villagers of Kelageri, to focus on the conservation of the Kelageri tank here on Sunday.
It was once the source of drinking water to the city that was built by Sir M Vishveshwaraiah in 1911. ‘Nadoja’ awardee Chennaveera Kanavi has flagged off the jatha. Dr.A Murigeppa, Dr.Sadananda Kanavalli, Dr.Somashekharappa and others participated.
