DHARWAD: The logo of Dharwad Utsav has been released to mark official announcement of much awaited 3-day Dharwad Utsav scheduled to be held from November 17 at five venues in Hubli and Dharwad.

Speaking after releasing the logo, Revenue Minister Jagadish Shettar disclosed the dates and other information regarding Utsav here on Monday.

He promised to sanction Rs 30 lakh demanded by the district administration to hold the Utsav. He appealed to localities to make use of Utsav to exhibit their talents.

The logo would be used in all publicity materials. Ranga Mandir in Dharwad and Town Hall in Hubli, venues of Utsav, would be improved soon.

Deputy Commissioner M S Srikar informed that various sub-committees had been constituted for the success of Utsav.

Prahlad Joshi, Member of Parliament (Dharwad North) asked artistes and art organisations to actively involve in the Utsav for promotion of art and culture.

The Utsav will be held in following venues: Kala Bhavan, Karnataka Vidyavardhak Sangha and Srujana Ranga mandir, in Dharwad; Sawai Gandharwa Hall and Indiara Glass House in Hubli.

Police Commissioner Narayan Nadamani, B Srikantappa, Superintendent of Police, laureates Siddalinga Pattanashetty, Mohan Nagammanavar, K H Chennur, deputy director, Kannada and Culture department were present.
