HUBLI: Narayan Nadamani, Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner said that steps were taken to provide service of the Police Department at the doorstep of common man.

He was speaking after inaugural ceremony of the renovated building of Ashoknagar’s police check-post organised by Lions club of Hubli Parivar here recently.

He said hitherto women need not to approach the Police Stations with regard to inquiries in connection with passports and other petty matters as arrangements were being made to discuss such matters at their (women) residences in presence of the inmates of their house.

Seeking the support of the people to establish peace and harmony in the city, he assured to put in sincere efforts to make the city free from all tensions and to restore peace and harmony in society.

M S Srikar, Deputy Commissioner expressed his happiness over the renovation of the police check-post of Ashoknagar and said that the Police Department should provide more satisfactory service in this part.

P Manivannan, Commissioner, Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation said that all possible measures were being taken for the beautification of the twin cities.

As part of it, all roads in the city will be upgraded and repaired soon.

He opined that both bureaucrats and public should work in tandem to bring in changes and developments in the city.

Former M P Professor I G Sanadi, former Mayor Anilkumar Patil, Tejprakash Mahajan, president Lions club, M S Patil, Madan Desai, Mahendra Singhi and others were present on the occasion.
